About us

We first opened our doors in 1977. Back then, we were a small gift shop on Eastern Sydney's leafy Anzac Parade. But as word spread, the store grew, and we moved across the road into our current home, formerly an old cinema.

Now, more than forty years on, Peter's of Kensington has become a Sydney institution with additional locations at Barangaroo, Birkenhead Point and Alexandria. Despite this, Peter's of Kensington remains what it always has been – a family owned and operated, Australian company.

These days, people all over Australia and across the globe visit our famous institution without even leaving their homes. What makes us different? We stock all the biggest brands in homewares, kitchenware, dinnerware and more. For the table, there's Royal Doulton, Wedgwood, Villeroy & Boch, Royal Albert; for the kitchen, KitchenAid, Nespresso, Scanpan, Le Creuset; and for the home, Lalique, Lladro and Ralph Lauren. And that's just to name a few!

    The pens arrived in good condition but the faux leather cases were missing from the gift boxes. Purchased on the basis of the pen cases inclusion. The sales team at Peters was helpful and apologised for the aforementioned. I was advised that the newer pens do not come with the blue pen cases and the eBay photo & listing description were meant for the older stock. They offered refund and a return label without hesitation. Good experience with the return process. Thanks!!

    Great communication, fast postage and am overall happy with my purchase however was very disappointed to receive the expensive glass photo frame without any protective packaging .. was sent in the original store box with no padding .. an invoice and address label attached .. box wasn’t even sealed and was opened or became opened during shipping .. additionally I had to hot glue a beading section back on that had been dislodged during the shipping.

    Great quality brush, this is our second and is replacing one thats a few years old now and well overdue - as I know that Redecker are reliable quality and we've used it prior I was more than happy to order two to save on postage.
