    Our strap buckles are nylon to prevent accidental scratching of the boat paint/gel-coat. We're sorry they were not what you hoped for.

    The fitment is very good, not so snug as to preclude adding trolling motor later. My only offer of improvement would be to advise the customer up that a signature is required for delivery - FedEx service in our area is very poor and it took several attempts to finalize delivery.
