This mat is absolute rubbish and not fit for purpose. If hot embers land on it, even for a few moments when opening the stove door it smoulders and burns and the smell is rancid. It’s ok if used when removing the cold ash but then an old towel or dust sheet would suffice. Don’t waste your money if you want to use it whilst the stove is on. I was only able to use it on three occasions before throwing it in the bin! The seller was also very unhelpful and suggested I buy a different mat instead!
