    About us

    Hi I'm John Starkey the founder of Veteran Cards HQ. After proudly serving in the US Army for 21 years with Deployments to both Iraq (2005-2006) and Afghanistan (2012-2013) I retired in January 2025 and I'm trying to turn my life long passion for sports cards into a business. I first fell in love with collecting cards as a kid in the late 80's and 90's, and I just got back into the hobby collecting in 2023 that brought me so much joy growing up. What started as a personal collection quickly grew into something more, and now I'm excited to share that passion with others through my eBay store. Veteran Cards HQ is built on a foundation of integrity, service, and a love for the hobby- and I'm looking forward to growing into a full online store and eventually opening a physical shop.
