80cm Carbon Fiber Camera Track Slider Video Stabilizer +Follow Focus Pan YC A9H2

Better for Video than time lapse - really, a tale of 2 reviews.
This is a copy of the Digislider 2 Axis motorized slider selling for ~$490 US. It is light weight and easy to carry, probably weighing less than your tripod. Almost everything you need is included (see below), though I would recommend a ball head for maximum versatility. The legs are great in that there is almost nothing to setting it up level (and the included spirit level helps). I had no trouble even on uneven terrain. You just unfold the legs and adjust them. The rotating axis has a lot more range than I thought at first. The included battery lasts a long time. It is a standard Sony camera battery and I have found them on Amazon for ~$3 if you need more. Video Review: As a video slider it does very well, offering a good range and smooth movement assuming your cameras are not too heavy. If shopping for a slider in this price range, they shouldn't be. In video, the speed range from slowest to fastest is very good. I really like it for motorized video. Time lapse: It only came with one camera cable, which did not match my Nikon. Since Nikon uses 3-4 different cables, that wasn't a big deal. Once I purchased the correct one, it controls the shutter nicely for shoot-move-shoot. It will double as an intervalometer if your camera does not have that functionality. The trouble I have is that the slider will not go slow enough. At 1%, I can only get about 85 shots over the length of motion because it moves too far after each shot. If I can find a way to correct this, I would immediately raise it to a 5 star product. As it stands, this is a serious setback for operation of the slider in time lapse mode as I would like to be able to get ten times as many shots in the 80cm version.

For those with HD-DVD and Blu-Ray, this is the unit
I jumped early into high definition, and own a substantial number of both disc types. I started with that Xbox player for HD-DVD, but disliked the noise of the Xbox fan while watching movies. I also had an early high end Sony BD player with no network port. If you use BD's, you know how often you had to update those, especially during thie first year. I got one of these as soon as I saw it, and it has been great (I even bought a second one here on ebay I was so happy). It plays everything, updates painlessly, and even plays mp4s and such. Now if you are just getting into BD, there are newer units that have built in WiFi and Netflix, and you should really be looking at those instead, but if you need something to play your HD-DVDs, upconvert your regular DVDs, and plays Blu-Ray, I haven't found a better answer than the BH200.

    2.5mm-N3 Shutter Release Cable for Nikon D750 D5500 D7200 D7100 D7000 D5300

    Works flawlessly with D750
I ordered this to work with a time lapse motion controller/intervalometer in shoot-move-shoot mode. While Nikon has an intervalometer built in, it is easy to get out of sync in a long shoot. This cable solves that problem. There is no trouble plugging at either end (some cables are a tight fit to the camera, but not this one). Beyond this, there is not much to say.
