Been here over 22 years now, since 2001, (Mad! as I still remember my first ever purchase like it was yesterday!) I’ve bought a few thousand things, sold a fair few bits too, as and when I feel the need, although not so much any more, at least not here anyway… I’m a huge Blade Runner (1982) & Blade Runner 2049 (2017) movie fan. Music fan, Cars, Movies, Hi-Fi…. Cheers!

Instant classic!
1 of 1 found this helpful Reviews are always subjective, but if you’re a fan of the original or you are just a sci fi fan, this is essential. Not your gung ho crash bang wallop movie, this has real depth. It’s beautiful too.

Superb reference quality book to accompany the movie!
Superb insight into the making of Ghost In The Shell. Such a beautiful movie with amazing visuals, this book does it justice, great balance of text and images, a nice touch I wasn't expecting is the de-bossed Geisha face on the front cover, which is also red gloss contrast against the matt white grey of the face. Very effective and adds to the feel of quality. Was great to read and learn about the methods and designs in the movie, I find a good narrative alongside the images helps deepen the connection to a movie you love, even more & the people behind this book have achieved that. Something to treasure and revisit time and time again. The movie will grow in appreciation in years to come I am sure, the team behind the production of this book should be just as proud as the team who produced the movie.

Powerful for such a compact unit.
1 of 1 found this helpful I read many articles and reviews on how to tackle condensation in the home, most noticeable on cold mornings where I was having to mop up pools of water from window sills and wipe windows to clear. In the process I learnt that I could employ a self help regime to minimise the problem, such as ventilating while cooking, keeping bathroom doors shut when having shower etc. My house has no ventilation having double glazed sealed windows with no vents, so on cold mornings the problem was terrible.
The Meaco kept appearing in trusted reviews for its effectiveness, both in terms of cost to run and water vapour extraction rate. I have to say, after using for just a few weeks it is an incredible piece of kit. The amount of 'invisible' water it takes from the air is nothing short of astonishing. It's a great feeling when I empty the collection tank every 3 or 4 days and see the water I'd normally be mopping up with wet towels around my window sills. Another fantastic benefit is the inclusion of a proper HEPA filter which is easy to fit and cleans the air while it dehumidifies.
The condensation problem due to the high 'rh' relative humidity, as I've now learned (which was 75-80 in my home) has now been brought under control with a drop to 50rh. I still get a very tiny amount of condensation on my windows on freezing mornings, but can live with that as to eradicate that I'd have to set the machine to 30-40rh which will make the air very dry and then you start to notice it when you breathe.
Of note, the machine is not silent, but it's not loud by any means and tends to blend into the back ground once you're used to it. Placed strategically in your home you will barely notice it. Design wise, it's a beauty. Function wise it couldn't be simpler, although I do find that setting the 'child lock' via the two button method is fiddly and sometimes takes a few goes to register before the 'LC' on the display appears.
Overall I highly recommend the Meaco 20L Low Energy Dehumidifier. It's doing exactly what I need it to do.
