Quirky, dark, funny show that still is remarkable even after 20 + years.
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a quirky, classic TV series, created by David Lynch, that helped pave the way for later, complex, arc-driven TV shows like Breaking Bad and The X-Files. An FBI agent (played by Lynch favorite Kyle MacLachlan) goes to the small town of Twin Peaks to investigate a brutal murder, and is drawn into the town's labyrinthine web of internal personal conflicts, dramas, and betrayals, with a pall of supernatural evil and chaos hovering constantly over the action. If you love Twin Peaks, you'll definitely want the Gold Set; it has tons of extras, including some very in-depth documentaries that discuss the show's highlights and lowlights with surprising frankness, some vintage SNL material from the show's run in '90-91, and more. This set is expensive but definitely the version to get; you get the entire show, two versions of the pilot (skip the international version until you watch the entire run... or just skip it altogether, you're not missing much), and a lot of great extras, all wrapped up in a pretty gold package.

Great 2-disc deluxe set of a classic dark thriller.
Excellent 2-disc set - if you love this movie (and I do), it's a no-brainer that you buy this. Se7en is a classic creepy thriller/horror film by legendary director David Fincher ("The Social Network", "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo") and shows all the hallmarks of Fincher's trademark style: rich, chiaroscuro lighting and composition, smart dialog, moral complexity, and fascinating, dark characters. The Platinum set has multiple film commentaries and a second disc full of fun extras that highlight the amazing amount of detail put into the making of the film. Definitely worth a watch or two (or, in my case, many more times than just two)!
