A little tricky to line everything up when mounting saw to winch, but Works Great!
I read some reviews from previous buyers who complained about bird's nests in the wire rope on the drum causing some jamming of the spool against the winch case. Some buyers suggested cutting some of the wire rope off to shorten it and help prevent such problems. I used it once (so far) and found that if you keep an eye on how it is spooling as you bring the load in you can pretty well move the winch sideways (if and when it raises up off the ground) as it is spooling and carefully use a gloved hand to help guide it onto the drum to distribute the wraps more evenly across the drum. In the future I will most likely be yarding logs a fair amount of distance so I am not in favor of cutting off any wire just yet.
