A fascinating and very involving book about the life of Sir Walter Ralegh. The book is meticulously researched and highly informative, and is scholarly without being dull. The author paints an intimate and lively portrait of the man as though he knew him personally. It also paints a highly informative and vivid picture of Elizabethan England and the English exploration of the ne world. I bought this book after buying a book on Sir Francis Drake by the same author on ebay,whihc was equally fascinating. I would highly recommend this book to any one interested in bot the man and the period. Thorougly enjoyed it.
