Magnets weren't sufficient to hold the L plate to the vehicle

L plates come with two very weak strips of magnet to hold the plastic to the car. As a result as soon as a bit of wind gets under the L plates they have a tendency to blow off. This left me in a number of precarious situations where I had to stop on a busy road to get out and collect the plate. The last time the plate blew off it was destroyed.
