Not as good as usual
3 of 3 found this helpful These mini tuos vary widely in quality. I used to buy those to get the "surprise" effect: you didn't really know what you ware brewing until it was done, but it used to always be a nice surprise in the end. It was a nice way to discover the multiple faces of puer. But this time, these tuos range from not so great to okayish but with a "faded" taste. It's as if these tuos have been waiting too long on a shelf in the sun or something. The ones that do have some recognizable taste also taste pretty much of paper. Not a sharp or pungent taste, just an overall bland taste. I've been brewing these either in a small clay tea pot or a gaiwan.
I don't think it has to do with the original quality: these tuos are still pretty compact, upon brewing they let off from slightly broken to whole leaves. It's just that the taste seems to have somehow evaporated along the way.
