Good motherboard for a great price.
1 of 1 found this helpful As many of the reviews say, the motherboard is slightly smaller than the standard ATX size so when plugging in cables it needs to be supported from the back. It also only has 3 fan headers, which isn't a problem is you have a multi fan header device. The BIOS is great to work with and Asus is a great provider. Has orange led on the left side of the board. Clean and tidy z170 motherboard that supports overclocking, may not be the prettiest to look at but definitely gets the job done. Definitely worth the price I paid for mine. Goes well with a i5 6600k or i5 7600k.

Cheap but functional cable adapter
Obviously a cheap cable adapter but it works for what I need it for. My PSU didn't have a 8pin power cable only a 6 pin. So I bought this item and a two 6pin to 8pin adapter so I could have my original 6 pin and the 6pin from this to use with the other adapter. I made sure my current PSU was good enough to handle the extra load because normally if you don't have the correct cables it means your PSU can't handle that extra load. This was for my GTX 1070 which needs 150W and more if you overclock. So I needed the full 150w from the 8 pin cable (through all the adapters) and the 75w headroom on the pci-e lane connection (where you plug your GPU into the motherboard) . A simple single 6 to 8 pin adapter would only give me 75w and not the 150w I need which is why I used all the adapters. I will be upgrading my PSU in due course but was good to see this worked. Always consult experts or the manufacturers before trying this as it can lead to shorting and or surging you system which can fry all your other components including your GPU.
