OK top-loader
This machine works OK. It boots up nes and snes games just fine. When using snes mode there is a green line running vertically down the screen. the line is annoying but during actual game-play is invisable, only during blank screens is it even noticeable. There are better machines, but for the money it serves the purpose it bought it for.I wanted a top-loader and an snes. Things i would want in a more expensive model would be ports for nes controllers and a little less graininess in the graphics.

better than 1942 in some ways
1 of 1 found this helpful The sequel to a great nintendo game. It is as fun to play as 1942 and the graphics are better. There are a variety of changes, not all improvements, made to this game in the two years between release dates. You only get one life which seems like a bad thing but theyve replaced extra lives with an energy scale, which is a good idea but you use it for weapons too so it makes it a little to much thought into a rapid fire game(you die if you shoot too much) and you get continues which is nice. You can customize your plane in bonus rounds and in the begginning of the game to suit your preferences on planes, this is a cool and unexpected feature. Basically the gameplay is the same as 1942, i felt like i had a bit more room to move around and wasnt cramped as much in 1942, but it is still way better than sky sharks, another similar game for nes. Would i buy both 1942 and 1943? probably not again, but theyre both good and I dont have to make that decision.

back to the future nes
1 of 1 found this helpful This is possibly one of the worst games ever to come out for the nintendo. Movie games are notoriously poorly made with few exceptions. The game play has little to nothing to do with the movie and isnt very interesting. Your basically a character dodging items on the roads of hill valley to get to boss/level/stages that are the only challenging part of the game, also the only parts that make any sort of reference to the movie. The game also includes an awful soundtrack of a fifteen second loop of tonal nonsense, and none of the great movie music. If your collecting nes games just because you have to have them then you are a cursed soul such as I, if your getting games for entertainment this is a waste of time and money, however little it may be.
