Floor Jansen and After Forever's early albums are awesome.
1 of 1 found this helpful Being a long time fan of Classical, Opera,Rock, Progressive Rock,Metal,Show Tunes,New Age,light Jazz and most other genres of music (of which there hundreds), I have really gotten caught up in the Symphonic Metal and Gothic music. After only about four years of exposure I came across Floor Jansen and After Forever with their self titled album. I liked it well enough but did not pursue the band further until several months ago when I ran across Floor on You tube doing stuff from the earlier albums. I fell hard for what I was hearing and searched for Prison of Desire and Decipher. It is hard to believe that Prison was their debut album after listening to it in its entirety the first time. Floor's voice is amazing and well controlled. The album ranks up at the top of my favorites (along with Decipher)and I wonder if some of the great masters of the classical age like Beethoven and Mozart would have sounded like this if they had been born in the 1970s or 80s. Just a thought. Beethoven's 9th Symphony is my #1 favorite of all music and I am over sixty years old to put my above thoughts in perspective. Bottom line is that if you like Classical and Metal and Symphonic Rock, you have to give this band serious consideration. Enjoy and "Rock On".

EPICA RETROSPECT CONCERT DVD
1 of 1 found this helpful I have liked Epica since first hearing them about 8 years ago. I an 68 years old and have been listening to Classical and Rock music since I was 8 years old. This band is a great fusion of these types of music. This concert DVD is of outstanding picture and sound quality and Simone is awesome. I love rock bands playing with orchestra and choir and this band does it flawlessly. This is probably my favorite concert video of all that I have and have seen. I wish this type of music was more available in the U S and am grateful for being exposed to it through the internet. Here is to the next 10 years of Epica.

Good Sword and Sorcerer movie.
This is a fun adventure film with good actors and good production values. A good film in its genre to add to any film collection.
