Best multiplayer shooters to date.
Halo 3 has to be one of the best, if not THE best, FPS games out. Campaign mode contains a deep storyline set in the far off future where you take up the role of the Master Chief, a super-human cyborg known as a "Spartan". Your mission is to defend humanity against corrupt Covenant (the enemy) forces and prevent them from activating the Halo and wiping out humanity for good. As great as the campaign mode is, multiplayer has got to be the big money maker for this game. Playing online with actual human players allows you to pit your skill against theirs in different multiplayer game modes such as free-for-all, team battles, and capture the flag just to name a few. Gameplay isn't the only thing that keeps this game interesting, the graphics are top notch and are probably going to be referenced for years to come. Pick this game up, you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Unless you don't like FPS, in which case you shouldn't even be reading this review...

Crush the resistance!
Picking up a few months after the first Gears game, GoW2 brings back Marcus and Dom (and a few old faces as well as new ones) to fight against the Locust horde. Apparently the lightmass bomb wasn't enough to stop these hulking beasts. So now it's you're mission to take them down again as they head for the main city of Jacinto and threaten humanity's survival. Campaign mode puts you in control of Marcus and Dom as you tear through waves and waves of Locusts to save mankind. Multiplayer mode has become a whole different beast from the first Gears game. To me it feels a little slower and the tactics have changed almost completely. The small weapon selection is still there and the weapons from the first game have made a return. Grenades can now be planted on walls so any unsuspecting enemies walking by will activate them like trip mines. With a few drawbacks (in my opinion) Gears 2 still has a strong hold on my inner gamer. I definitely recommend this game to any shooter fans.
