Lipstick Jihad
I wanted to buy this book after reading Azadeh Moaveni's Honeymoon in Tehran. The intriguing combination of Western and Persian cultures really grabbed my attention the first time around, so I wanted to buy Lipstick Jihad, also. I was not disappointed--her writing is fearless. Because she physically moves back and forth between the two cultures so often, she is able to provide an unusual look at Iran for Westerners. Most of the time, we don't get the full picture of Iran from our media. Moaveni's books have opened my eyes to many things that I never knew about her country and I'm better for it.

If You Follow Me
I wanted to buy this book after seeing it in an airport bookstore. The cover and story line really appealed to me, so as soon as I got home, I signed on to half.com to find a good deal for it. I was not disappointed! I purchased it for less than 50% what the bookstore would've charged and when the book arrived, it was in excellent condition...just as the seller had described.
