The Case for Christmas
1 of 1 found this helpful I read some of Lee Strobel's books and really deeply enjoyed them so I decided to buy The Case for Christmas. It was a decent book that made some good points, but I was not very happy with the actual "case" made. Usually Lee Strobel does a very good job at staying on topic and giving clear evidence, but I felt as if the entire book was off topic. It's an interesting read, but it didn't seem to support the idea of Christmas much. Unfortunatly that was very disappointing to me. I would still recommend it for the sake of what he had to say, but don't expect to learn much about the holiday in it.

Holman Illustrated Pocket Bible HANDBOOK
1 of 1 found this helpful Someone recommended getting a Bible dictonary so I looked here on ebay to get one and actually ended up getting the wrong book by mistake, however I decided to keep the handbook instead of the dictionary because it is very helpful. It doesn't go into many details about the different books of the Bible, but it says enough to help with the transition from book to book. It helps me understand the different Books of the Bible and know who is involved in them. I'm still going to buy a dictionary because I feel like it would be much more helpful, but the handbook isn't all that bad either.

Wicked by Gregory Maguire
I absolutly LOVED reading Wicked by Gregory Maguire. The language he used really captivated me and I never wanted to put the book down! It gave me an entirely new perspective on the wicked witch of the west and now I have been thinking about other characters deemed to be evil and what the story really could have been. Out of the hundreds of books I've read, I will only claim to love very few, and Wicked is one of them. Now I want to read other books by Gregory Maguire to see if they are just as good. Definitly a recommended book!!!
