check ISBN before you buy
This is a good book - but - the publisher pulls kind of a dirty trick by publishing the same book with two completely different dust covers. I fell into that trap. Now I have two of the same book. Wonderful - trouble is, both are used making a poor choice for a present to someone.

My second one of this make
My first one had a glass carafe which allowed you to see how much coffee is left in the pot. This one is metal, so that option is not available. The metal carafe is heavy and not the easiest to clean. Since this model does not have a two hour timer it relies on heating the container and you finishing before it really cools off. The maker seems to take longer to brew - great coffee - probably because of the heating of the carafe takes considerable time. This thing is well made and quite heavy. I am waiting for the press handle on the top to snap off since you have to use it to spin off the pouring mechanism. All in all kinda a poor design, but like I said - great coffee - when it is hot.
