Pacific Ocean Blue

Athough a critical success and a moderately reasonable selling solo album in its day for Dennis, 1977, a bit of a lost treasure now. Worth checking out, a collection of quite moving songs and some unexpectively funky numbers (especially one called Dreamer), much of this has a late night feel to it, quite unlike most of any of the other Beach Boys recordings.

Zzzzzz...

Self serving; superficial; shallow and very boring. Firstly, the author feels she needs to tell us about her tedious love life over the past decades; tinged with uninteresting encounters with the 'spirit' world - even here, she writes with a matter-of-fact attitude of it, almost as if she's dealing with an annoying salesman at her door. I found her sense of humour unfunny and irritating.... I decided not to finish the book..

'Joe Cocker's Surprise Concert Tour'

A vintage concert which remains as fresh today as back then.. interesting and amusing to observe the antics and behaviour of these folk through now senior eyes, and what a good performer Joe Cocker really was, he was looking forward to some rest & recreation in the US after England, but was soon put to work to do this concert - you'd never guess by his performances, but he was unhappy about the whole MD&E tour thing - good quality film for its' time - I would recommend this DVD..
