Hustler RQM Base Load Magnet Mount CB Radio Antenna 43" Tall with Whip

Great modern-styled CB antenna.

This is my second antenna of this exact model. Hustler is a trusted brand among the HAM radio types, and a step up from the truck-stop junk for CB. If you are looking for a more modern design, this one is it. Its has a true steel whip, which outperforms a typical fiberglass stick for a personal truck or car. Place it on your roof for real CB performance on a ground plane instead of being like everyone else and geting trucker-style rods on your truck bed rails. Trust me, I hear and get out further with this. Its basic antenna theory in a nice package. Its also not as "big" and rediculous looking as one of the K40 or other brands HUGE 5" magnet base with a rediculous long whip. This antenna resembles more of a professional antenna you might see on a State Trooper cruiser or commercial setup.

Not a bad deal at all.

I thought based on photos that it may be the same as my other Manfrotto QR mount...it was not. BUT, it is still a decent quality QR mount combo. After testing this past weekend I trust both my Canon DSLR and Panasonic news cam on the mount. Currently using it on my Flycam.

Reliable. I use it for ENG.

So far in field ENG use, it has been a solid and reliable replacement. No issues with mounting or the security of the tabs. Holds a charge for days. As a freelancer with a day job, sometimes my gear has to stay in my vehicle for a few days unused until a story breaks. No issues so far and the battery level indicator on my cam has been accurate thus far with this battery. Happy customer! Picture shows the battery in use on-scene on my Panasonic HMC-40. I trust it for sure.
