Dragon Models 1/72 NASA APOLLO 9 Command Service Module CSM w/Launch Escape MIB

Another Quality Item From Dragon

I bought this as a replacement for the service module on my 5' tall Dragon Apollo 11 Saturn V 1:72 launch vehicle. The service module was accidentally knocked off of the Saturn V, as my wife was cleaning around it. This fits perfectly on top of the Saturn V, and although this is the Apollo 9 model, there is no difference between the two. This is however a mostly metal service module, with just the command module, and escape tower, being plastic. The escape tower system is removable, unlike the Apollo 11 that I am replacing. It is a heavy unit, and works great. I simply put the old Apollo 11 on top of the Apollo 9 stack, and am displaying this model with that replaced piece. The only piece that was not repairable on the Apollo 11, was one of the thruster jets, on one of a group of 4, was lost. Bottom line is this will make a great addition to anyone's collection. It has a gold tone name plate, and looks very nice.
