I think this may have been designed by a drunk dude, LOL! The mounting screws don't align with Picatinny slots, so it is not possible to use this as a riser on top of a Picatinny rail for a red dot (the use I had envisioned for it), unless you think you can get by with using only one mounting screw. Seems also to require a huge amount of torque to tighten up. Gonna throw this in the junk pile and try one of these from Yankee Hill Machine instead: Yankee Hill Machine Mini Riser, 3 Slot
