ATTN: D200 and D2 Series Owners
1 of 1 found this helpful If you closely read the instructions of this (or any) VR lens you will see "With AF cameras featuring an AF start (AF On)button, such as D2 Series and D200 models, vibration reduction will not operate even if the AF On button is depressed." Actually, the VR feature of the lens will work if you go to the menu and disable the AF Lock feature of the button, and then use the shutter release to auto focus the lens. You will NOT be able to use the VR feature otherwise. The lens is amazing! Extremely quiet, smooth, and the perfect range. I just leave this lens on my D200 and keep the other AF lens in my bag for backup. It is quiet enough to comfortably use on wildlife without giving away your position. An excellent lens at a very reasonable price. Buy this and quit changing your lens for different shots.
