Shirley Adams' "Blouse Pattern Pizzazz" scores again
This book is so comprehensive that I'm unable to imagine a blouse type that you can't conceive and construct from Shirley Adam's excellent teaching and demonstrating style.
Regardless of fashion changes, the sewer/fabric artist with this book as a guide, will always be up-to-date with the latest.
I saw most of Shirley's TV programs when originally broadcast. Her books keep me current. Any that you can obtain will be a bonus and joy to your creative spirit.

Knitters' Almanac by Elizabeth Zimmermann
3 of 3 found this helpful 3/6/09 I had read this book over 15 years ago. Elizabeth's chatty style is fun reading, and she has some fantastic knitting techniques I don't find elsewhere.
I bought this book because it is a great reference dispite a need for more actual pictures and/or diagrams.
The format of a project for each month allows a beginner knitter (or refreshing skilled knitter as myself) to make useful articles within the course of a year.
It is reasonably priced, light weight, small in size and fits in my knitting bag. Perfect!!

World's Best Jokes and Humor
A friend shared a few pages of the excellent humor with me. I didn't want to give the book back. Found it on eBay for a wonderful price. Now treat myself to a few pages every day in between eBaying activities. Laughter is such a face lift!
