I have been Collecting German toys and miniatures for over 30 years and adore German dolls made in West Germany. I love to sew, and hand craft things for dolls. I love German tole painting called Bauernmaleri and my favorite artist is Scottie Foster.

High Recommendation on Loni Phillilps Storybook Costuming for dolls
I recommend Loni Phillilps book on Storybook costumes for Dolls, patterns and designs for anyone making or costuming for dolls 7"-12". I am currently working on a 12" Dianna Effner doll and I plan to use one of these patterns for her. I love storybook characters, so this was a must for me. This is actually my second copy of this book. I will use this book to write in and mark for information and notes.

My Childhood Christmas Movie from 1965 "The Christmas that Almost Wasn't"
1 of 1 found this helpful This movie must have had a great impression on me, because I saw this in 1965 in the Movie Theaters when I was 6 years old. I am 58 years old now and found myself remembering all the songs and scenes in this movie. Paul Tripp, Sony Fox where actors for children at that time and they both are in this movie. I shows the true meaning of Chrlstmas from the heart for children. IT looks like it was filmed in West Germany as well.

Calico Critters Brick Oven Bakery "Great Imaginative Play" So much better than a video game.
I lived in West Germany for 5 glorious years in the 1980's and this set reminds me so much of Germany. The Heloise Hedgehog, the whole bakery and the oven and shelves and the Old Fashioned way that Calico Critters has designed this set, it is so classic and timeless. Great for all ages, not just children, adults as well.
