Mary Chapin Carpenter Come on Come on, back.
I loved this cd when it first came out and love it now in a different stage of my life. It grabs you and makes you reflect on the past, examine your present and look toward a brighter future. Without ever preaching or judging. The rythm, temper, tempo and vocals are superb and timeless.

Classic
This is classic M5. The songs on this cd have all been a key to their success and growth as a post 90's man-band. I admit my reluctance to take Levine himself seriously as a group guy, but I think the songwriting success, overall musical talent and the fact that his personal ego remains stroked keep these guys a pwerhouse of the man band gen, non garage variety. It's a must have for any moderate to all out fan.

Dar Williams lyrics, vocals and acousticals are unmatched. It's impossible to "pigeonhole" her style or walk away from it without relective, introspection of the world we're in and the people we're in it with. This live CD bursts through the speakers and cuts straight to the heart. The "intros" to several of her and her fan favorites are classic Williams storytelling and bonding agents. If you don't know of her you're bound to be pleasantly rewarded. If you do know her work and art this is an absolute necessity to the home collection. I must have replayed this version of Spring Street a dozen times in one day. And every other song on this particular album.
