    The Hunters
It is a great movie about the Korean conflict. Even the love interest is subdued and respectful. Robert Mitchum (Clever Seville) portrays just the kind of officer I have very well known and appreciated. He's a retread from WW2 and a professional. That, alone, sets the whole stage. In Korea, he has to deal with politics, an already married love(who's husband is less than a "Hunter" in his Flight)and Ed Pell(Robert Wagner)- a flash, talented, jive kid fresh from training, but who becomes a real HUNTER under Seville's tutlage and justifyable threats. There is some supension of reality that needs to be addressed in some situaions and scenes... but it all works well and the feeling of the movie well sustains. The cinematic visuals fantastic! F-86s against Migs (painted F-84s). Cool. Even the end scenes are anticlimatic - as it should be. It is all but a perfect Korean War movie. Now.. Where Is "Retreat Hell." It's in VHS... but I want it on DVD
