Complete LED Conversion From Incandescent/Halogen!
I purchased these items to complete a total conversion (internal/external) to LED from 20th Century Incandescent & Halogen lighting. Although the plastic body isn't OEM thickness/quality, a few months into the conversion, all is still well after placing small strips of electrical tape to the areas where the bulbs need OEM friction to protect bulbs from vibrations/bumps of daily driving causing some LED bulbs to loosen/rotate/fall out. The non-patterned clear external lens coupled with both upper & lower non-patterned Red "inner lens(s)" allows LEDs to project unobstructed & further, per the molded light diffusion design(s) of the internal reflective housing surface. I would have preferred the inner "Turn" lens to to be OEM Amber...
See application details:
1) Isolated Run/Brake Signal ("Red" LEDs installed behind "Red" inner lens to utilize the entire Red spectrum...max intensity!)
2) Isolated Turn Signal (Special Note: "Green" LEDs installed behind "Red" inner lens to create OEM Amber/Yellow effect in lieu of commonly used Red lens for everything..."Run/Brake & Turn).
3) Backup Lighting (no inner lens obstructing "White" LEDs)
*Full Disclosure: I will apply Wipe New to all enclosed clear outer housings to hopefully offset inevitable yellowing of clear lens over time due to prolonged UV exposure.
*NOTE: A replacement relay was installed/needed to control "fast-flicker-syndrome" widely experienced in LED applications for older vehicles.

Distorted Edges = Poor Quality
Width is fine, however, the edges where the mirrored surface meets the plastic housing appears distorted. One has to ensure to avoid the edges.Quality surfaces are clear and smooth from the center to the edge, so I may revert back to my 12 inch at some point until a manufacturer w/better quality becomes available.

Clearly, A Better Choice!
I purchased these clear exterior tail lights to finish the refreshment of my 97 Jeep Cherokee project. I would have preferred yellow turn signal lenses instead of red. Nevertheless, I am still searching to find brilliant green turn signal 600+ lumen LEDs to appear yellow when flashing...science. The other LEDs look fine and have no fitment issues between the tips and the tops of the lenses. Although the bulb insertion point plastic is thinner than OEM housings, they don't appear to be rotating loose from general driving. I would recommend these items for someone who may be looking for an alternative to 'Smoke lens' tail lights, side marker lights, and front turn signal lights. I will also treat them all with 'wipe new' before oxidation/discoloration begins to occur to hopefully prolong the useful lifespan.
