Defective out of box.
I purchased 3 of these American Standard Chatfield bathroom faucets of which only two of which worked without leaking. The third faucet set had a leak in the plastic spout between the valves and the aerator spout. American Standard product literature suggests all products are water tested at the factory but somehow this one made it through their quality control. Currently working with American Standard product support for them to supply a replacement part....pending. Also, American Standard support desk is only open until 4pm Eastern Standard Time and not 6pm as their product literature suggests.
Further too....American Standard does not answer there product support line, I have been on hold for over 1 hour and have still not been able to talk with a human. Very frustrating, apparently their time is important but mine is not. Good luck buying American Standard...I will never buy it again!
