Seagate Pipeline HD 500GB ST3500312CS 5900RPM SATA 3.5" Desktop HDD HARD DRIVE

Doesn't work...But new replacent does.

I bought this Hard Drive for a Bell 9241 pvr and it doesn't seem to work. After 2 attempts to format the drive the pvr still doesn't "see" it. I put the an identical Seagate Pipeline hard drive ST3500312CS that I bought on Amazon into another Bell 9241 pvr 2 years ago and there were no issues with it. I tested the pvr and there's no problem with it, so the issue seems to be with this HD. Can't get it to format on a computer either. The drive may be "new" but it is still over 10 years old. Update. So I told the supplier about the dead HD. They said they would ship another free of charge and not worry about sending the defective one back. I received the replacement yesterday and installed it and it works perfectly. Kudos to this supplier, they will stand behind their product
