Transcend TS32GSSD34E-M (32GB, USB 2.0) Express Card 54
Trasncend being a rather large flash memory production manufacture has decided to join the race of making SSD (Solid State Drives) in all shape and sizes. Traditional SSD come in 1.8" or 2.5" sizes for media players and notebook or desktop use. The Transcend TS32GSSD34E comes in an Express Card 54 form factor. It also came with a USB dongle in case end users did not have an express card 54 slot. Many laptops purchased within the last few years still have the express card slot. A lot of the new ones are starting to come without them. When the 32GB SSD is used in the Express card slot, the average read speed was around 33MB/s while writing speed was hitting just under 30MB/s. When the USB dongle was used it as doing about 28MB/s read and 22MB/s write which is still pretty impressive as flash drive will barely hit 10MB/s when they are writing data via USB. The Transcend SSD is indeed a quick device for it's class. Certainly not the quickest SSD on the market but for it's form factor it's fast enough. The only thing about the Transcend 32GB SSD that I think may eventually be a potential problem (but this problem probably will not happen for a while) is that there is no TRIM support on this item. So within an OS that supports TRIM is the now growingly popular Windows 7. TRIM is basically a garbage collection function that comes with SSDs in order to pick up the used blocks and clear them for the next use. With TRIM the SSDs generally will perform slower and slower until a "TRIM-like" application like "wiper.exe" (provided from some SSD manufactures) is run to wipe the SSD clean and restore it back to factory condition. SSDs have this flaw after long periods of use and constant data writing and re-writing. So far I haven't stumbled upon the slow down problem so I'll figure it out when that bridge is crossed. As for the reason to purchase such an item?? It's about the same size as flash drives when you add in the bulk of a drive cap and lanyard and other junk. It's 32GB capacity is large and the item actually costs way less than a 32GB flash drive. Not to mention with the stated write speeds it's about 3x faster than high performance flashdrive. And for those that wish to be carrying and moving large amounts of files; This SSD will take a bit to fill up before you realize you will need another.

SE K750i - Thoughts and Input
SE K750i is pretty good Triband GSM device. It has 900/1800/1900Mhz frequencies. This phone has won many awards for the Sony Cybershot(c) series cameras. If you're a user of AT&T network and various GSM networks thats heavy on the 850Mhz then you WILL NOT be able to utilize this phone to the max because that band is not supported. As for connecting to overseas networks that run 900/1800 it's perfect. The camera shows more clarity and higher resolution than other phones with 2.0 Megapixel camera. There is a flash for this thing which is composed of two really bright white LEDs. This light can be used with the camera or just turning it on as a flash light. The easy of using the camera is opening the shutter door on the other side of the phone which puts the phone in camera mode right away. And when the you're done taking pictures just close the shutter and it automatically saves the pictures to the memory or if you have a Sony Memory Stick Duo (or Pro) card you can expand the phone up to 2GB in addition to the 32MB on-board memory. Only thing I have to gripe about this phone is that it doesn't support EDGE and only supports GPRS so online support is rather sluggish. However this phone is made to be a multimedia and photo taking phone so internet won't be this phone's highest priority. Over all for just having a great phone and taking beautiful pictures it's perfect. Not to mention the phone has a panoramic mode which allows you to take full size 2.0MP pictures that is composed of 3 photos and it gives you a wide-screen (16:9) feeling to whatever you are taking pictures of. I find this mode makes a room look like it's bigger than it really is which is cool :) Overall in the States, it works perfectly with T-Mobile. As for Cingular/AT&T it works when only in the 1900Mhz grid. If you migrate to 850mhz then you won't have any signal.

Sony Ericsson K800i Cyber Shot
As a standard tri-band GSM phone, it has an excellent camera. Besides it being a standard Sony Ericsson phone it has a beautiful 240x320 resolution screen. For this phone being K series, the K has an emphasis on Camera. The phone has a pretty decent 3.2 Megapixel camera which takes better pictures than most camera phones. It's not better than other phones using CCD cameras (primarily Japanese Mobiles). It still sports the same Sony Walkman features along with the Radio features. The only thing that makes this camera phone special is the Xenon flash. It goes off when you take a picture while in a room that's poorly lit situations; just like a regular digital camera. So for a phone for going out with your friends you can capture moments that you don't want to forget with this phone.
