Amazing compact camera with brilliant 30x Optical Zoom
I previously had a Panasonic Lumix TZ60 camera for 3 years (also with 30x optical zoom) which was an excellent camera until I accidentally dropped it and smashed the lens... oops!
The TZ60 produced pictures that were far superior to more expensive full sized cameras which was particularly noticeable to me when we went to Antarctica on a trip and when swapping photos, other people were amazed at the quality of the little Lumix.
I like compact cameras that can fit in my pocket as I can't be bothered lugging around a big camera. I have also tried a Sony DSCHX90 compact camera as that had a flip screen but the picture quality was really poor in comparison to the Lumix.
The TZ90 camera seems almost identical to the fantastic TZ60 with the following differences I've noticed:
- TZ90 has a flip screen for selfies (TZ60 does not)
- TZ90 is slightly heavier and slightly wider but still light and slim enough to keep in your pocket
- TZ90 takes better pictures in low light which was a weakness with the TZ60
- TZ90 takes pictures which I'd say were about 30% sharper than TZ60
- TZ90 has much better dial on the top which isn't so loose so can't accidentally knock it off a setting
The TZ90 is much better than the TZ60 which was fantastic. The 30x Optical Zoom and "iA" auto focus is brilliant and in such a compact camera is amazing. I can't see how how anyone can be disappointed with this camera. For this price of £215... wow, simply wow!
