Close enough!
Although it is essentially an Apple iPod Classic, it is not the real thing thing. This unit appears to be built from replacement parts not made by Apple. For the most part it works like a genuine product but does not turn on when headphones are plugged in. Also does not make that irritating noise that 7th gen classics make when they are stopped or turned off. Battery life is less than half of my genuine iPod.
Packaging is an excellent copy of the original but includes different accessories. No docking adapter but does come with an A/C charger and 30 pin-USB cable.
That said the seller did work with me to make me at least satisfied enough to keep the unit.
What it really comes down to for me is the fact that my current iPod Classic is 8 years old and it won't last forever. Also The iPod touch does not play music as well as the Classic.
