Kind of a slam dunk for me to put a CenturyLink modem/router for fiber in place of a failed CenturyLink modem/router for fiber. This model only has one status light that changes color, so you can't tell your specific problem without browsing to it.

I'm amazed by all the features, including optical audio out. It was very easy to configure. I'm just using it as an Emergency Alert System monitor, so I did not try to use it as a DVR.
