4 of 8 found this helpful I didn't like this attempt at a "B" movie by Quentin. His breaks are too dramatic to be believable. I think what he was trying to evoke was a feeling of the old 70 mm Technicolor shifting (pun intended) out of black-and-white graininess, but the colors are too intense to buy off on, and the difference between the really good color shots and really crappy and cropped B and W make the feel of the movie deliberate, and therefore unbelievable. I found myself looking for the next 'B' movie cliche or corrected celluloid clip. Sorry Mr Tarantino, no cigar today, and I am a die hard fan of your earlier work.
