I couldn't finish it!
Seriously - I had to put it down because it was so awful. It was almost like two different people were writing the book. It had the sappy, sleezy, stick-your-finger-down-your-throat romance sections that I would skim through. Then it would abruptly take the reader into a knock-your-socks-off suspense scenario. And I'm not talking about in a good way. I finally put the book down for good when the serial killer/child abductor whacked off some guy's private parts that was delivered with the same finesse as if you were reading how to chop up a roast chicken. I have no idea if the kid or anyone else made it out alive, because this book was just too yucky to finish.

An Enjoyable Cruise Aboard the Black Pearl!
0 of 3 found this helpful Johnny Depp is at his all-time best in this delightful movie filled with fun and adventure. I never really paid any attention to this fine actor until I saw his extraordinary performance as Captain Jack Sparrow, who is a delightfully unconventional pirate with a streak of honor. There is something for everyone, including exciting sword fights, cannon blasts at sea, vengeful ghosts, lots of humor and treasure, and of course, romance. A great movie that the entire family will enjoy!

Incredibly disappointing...
If you love the story of Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth, I recommend NOT reading “Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife.” This book paints too many images that seem blasphemous to the continuing love story of “Pride and Prejudice.” This is not a sequel; it’s basically badly written erotica with a ridiculous British accent. The characters are unrecognizable and it has too many over the top graphically described sex scenes. Since there didn’t seem to be a real storyline, I didn’t make it past the first 100 pages.
