Unique 12th fret design except this model has been discontinued.
This is a great guitar! It is easy to play out of the box. The sound is a little "thin" but this seems to improve the more I use it as the solid spruce top gets "broken in". The finish and appearance is very nice.
My only negative comments are minor and concern the built-in electronics. First, the guitar came with the SYS550 single pickup model and NOT the SYS650 dual pickup model that was described in the listing. Second, the audio level output is weaker than other acoustic-electric guitars that I own. Third, the tuner should be more sensitive - I have to pluck the strings heavily before the tuner responds to the notes.
I purchased this Alvarez ARD70E guitar for a bargain price and I have no regrets. It deserves the five star rating I gave it.

I have owned this guitar for almost 2 years. It is a beautiful guitar with very good workmanship. The action was set just right from the factory. I haven't found the need to adjust it. The acoustic sound volume was a little weak when I first got the guitar but in the time since then it has opened up and seems to be getting better with age. The built in Fishman amplifier with tuner works and sounds great.
I changed the strings right away with my preferred brand. Also, I replaced the tuners.
Overall, this is a great guitar that I love to play and was an outstanding value for the price.

Outstanding dynamic microphone!
2 of 2 found this helpful I purchased this Sennheiser e945 mic as a gift for my son who is an active gigging musician. This product fully lives up to the manufacturer's description. It has reduced proximity effect and feedback rejection like no other dynamic mic I've heard before. The vocals are clear and distinct with a presence that punches through the mix. Yes, this one costs about twice as much as that very popular dynamic stage mic but I believe it to be more than worth the price I paid. No, I don't work for any microphone manufacturers or stores. I just like great sound.
