Garmin Nuvi
1 of 1 found this helpful It's a wonderfully compact, pocket-size GPS with attachments and large screen suitable to operate in our car. Two problems I've found with it: (1) It sometimes has trouble finding its satellites, though at least one other GPS, the one built in to our Prius, never seems to have trouble; and (2) sometimes, for no reason I can determine, its suction cup attachment sometimes fails to secure the GPS to our windshield. Compared to the Prius's GPS, however, its maps are more up-to-date and contain better references to commercial establishments, at least around here (the Finger Lakes, New York).

You don't have to like boxing
I was surprised to discover how much I liked Cinderella Man, a book I picked up because I'm writing a book that involves some of the fascinating characters Delisa writes about.
At first I thought that the author spent too much detail on boxers and boxing, which largely revolts me. I did find myself needing to skim some pages. But the Delisa's excellent writing and good selection of details worked to bring memorable color and interest to a sport that I'm surprised to say deserves attention, if only because of the passion it stirs in so many Americans.
At the very least, the book is a look at a fascinating era of American history and how boxing emerged from its brutal dark ages.
I'll never look at the sport the same.
