Compact, lightweight
Bought to supplement a large, upright cleaner and in that role perfectly fulfils my requirements for a lightweight, compact cleaner intended for quick, occasional use. Price for me was therefore key over performance. C- rated suction however was more powerful than I expected (from an 800W motor), a testament to cyclonic technology / A-rated for energy efficiency.
Emptying the small dust container regularly is a necessity, but otherwise along with cleaning the filter about as fuss-free as it gets. Classy, gold-coloured finish and shiny metal tubes belie bargain-basement price (compared to some mainstream-branded competition), if you’re impressed by that sort of thing. Interestingly, the external, multiple mini ‘cyclonic’ cones, absent on most of the competition appear to be non-functional /not part of the air-flow route and are purely a styling exercise. As suction nevertheless felt strong anyway and it was amongst the cheapest cleaners in its class though, I’d say they come at no extra cost! If you can live with its limitations, including modest 5m mains cable, I really have no complaints for the price I paid. Unable to comment on long-term reliability, but so far so good.
