Rockwell ShopSeries Bench Grinder - Wet/Dry, 250 Watt

Think twice before buying this item.

This item appears to be good value for money. But I have found one problem with it in that the wet stone shaft revolves in Plastic bushes and already after only one hours use there is now play in them. Fortunately I will be able to modify this item and fit proper bearings but of course this will void the warranty. After one hours use the motor was still running quite cool and the whole unit was stable and had very little vibration. I am using this grinder with a Tormek attachment to sharpen twist drills. The stone supplied seems to be quite adequate for this work. So, for the price, I think this machine is good value for me. But if you are not able to modify the bearings it might become unsatisfactory quite quickly.
