Peavey Delta Blues 30 Sounds Great!
4 of 4 found this helpful I bought my Delta Blues 30 watt amp because my Peavey Classic 50 was too loud for most of my gigs. The Delta Blues amp is just the right size and a bit over half the weight of my Classic 50.
I am impressed with the range of tones and versatility of the Delta Blues and the amp has plenty of power. The single 15" speaker is a plus for great bass, mids and crisp highs. The tweed skin and chicken-head control knobs give a cool vintage look.
I wonder why this amp has no standby switch, but I haven't played the amp long enough to know if this will negatively affect tube life.
I think the Peavey Delta Blues 30 115 performs as well as comparable Fender amps its size. It is more affordable but not a downgrade in sound or quality from other amps I've owned. I am very satisfied and love the sound this amp gives me.

Cool wah, cool sound.
I love the look and build (like a tank)of the pedal. Great tonal possibilities and outstanding wah sounds.
The foot pedal will not stay in any fixed position, rather it falls like a rock if your foot is not on it. This fact makes the Snarling Dog unusable as a tone control. The range of the tonal sweep is large, but occurs within a small amount of pedal movement which is very near the toe-down position. This does allow a lot of wah-wah action without bending your ankle very far, which I do like.
I probably will own a different wah pedal someday (I have read that the Dogs are a bit unreliable) but I am enjoying the Snarling dog for now. I would recommend it to a friend, except for the expensive cost of the pedal when compared to its reliability and purported lack of service availability from the manufacturer. I would say buy a used one.

Peavey Classic 50 4-10
3 of 3 found this helpful The Peavey Classic 50 is the right size for practice or for large venues. The 4-10 speaker configuration seems to deliver better tone than the 2-12 version. The vintage tweed look is cool, but more important is the all-tube tone and power.
The lead channel adjusts to a wide variety of tones-from clean to overdrive distortion while maintaining a prescence that stands out of the mix. The footswitch allows channel switching and reverb activation.
It would be nice if the regular channel had pre and post gain controls for a more overdriven rhythm tone--rather than just clean--but you can't have everything. Overall this is my favorite amp and one of the best I have ever owned.
