Poor Quality (Kwality?) Product: Schumacher SE-1 Battery Charger

I have a ten year old version of this exact part (Schumacher SE-1 trickle charger). It has been a great product. I use it every day. I wanted another for my other shop so I ordered this from Northern thinking I'd get the same quality product. Wrong. When I first opened the package from Northern for this new one I immediately noticed this one was a 2 prong wall connector. My older one is 3 prong (grounded). I also noticed the blades of the connection were crooked (pointed down) and wobbly. It gets worse. I plug the thing in, connect it to a battery that i know needs a little trickle and nothing. The charger doesn't work. The battery voltage didn't move one bit. It gets worse. I open up the charger to find the tiniest strand of wire (thickness of an eyelash...maybe) from transformer winding to blade of wall plug) soldered with the poorest solder connection I've seen in a long time. One of these strands is broken from the wobbly crooked connector blade pulling on it. SO DISAPPOINTED to see that a name brand like Schumacher now produces a low quality product surely for the sole reason of boosting profits. I will not be buying any more of their products and am disappointed that Northern is hawking this trash.
