cheap, even cheaper than an iPod touch nowadays.
The iPhone 3GS is okay, but the one I bought was in a pityful state. But it's become so cheap to buy one used on eBay that's it's still a good value even without a chip, jsut to use as an mp3 player or mobile game console.
