Sturdy and solid
Looks well made and sturdy, and as a result is a little heavier than i was expecting. I get the feeling that the surface will discolour a little with use, but very happy for the price

Invaluable introduction to the world's best buildings through the ages
This is a great book. I bought it as it was one of the recommended texts for my University module (History and Theory of Building Design). Buying it second hand on eBay was the best $6.50 I've spent in a while!
Although it gives the appearance of being for a younger market, it's actually more a text for the learner of any age rather than one for the young. In a little over 100 pages it gives a brief overview of architectural themes and then summarises about 50 of the world's most important architectural buildings, one double page per building.
Every spread is a combination of images and bullet point facts and I found it invaluable both for the assignment I had to complete and also as a text that I know I will drop into from time to time from hereon.
My edition is from the late 90's, so little is included since the Sydney Opera House; hopefully an update is on its way.
Highly recommended
