Unlocked but still does not live up to expectations.
With this unlocked phone, you will not find any problems getting it to work with other carriers, GSM and CDMA. However, experiences of call drops were found due to Verizon's bloatware. Several Verizon apps and programs render the phone's performance. With Verizon bloatware, especially cellular based programs, you will find call drops, voicemail harder to be used, and mobile hotspot to be restricted. Other than that, the Samsung S5 G900V seems to work just fine.
Pros - Unlocked (works with GSM and CDMA carries from my experience)
Cons - Verizon bloatware (several useless and others that cause cellular problems if not used under Verizon)
