"One of the better examples of the old streamlined Dreyfus Hudson Locomotive"
Unlike other versions of the Dreyfus Hudson locomotive, the Lionel version represents a realistic and detail example of the real streamlined locomotive from the late thirties. One of the better features on the Lionel version is the early Odyssey System or speed control feature, engaged by using the Cab-1 remote. The Odyssey System operates at a very slow speed and flawlessly, not much different than some of the later TMCC and Legacy locomotives. The paint scheme is also fairly accurate, as it is a darker grey, unlike the MTH version's lighter gray. A welcomed sight is also the illuminated Scullen Disc drivers, which look pretty good compared to the Boxpok drivers of other Hudson locomotive versions. Rail sounds on this early version is adequate, as the sounds are sometimes barely audible, although the whistle and bell sounds good. The smoke unit works as promised, although I was hoping for a little more than just puffs of smoke from the mechanical smoke unit. All in all, this is one of my favorite engines, at a most reasonable price.

"A Gem in the Rough"
The early Ritchey WCS products were second to none in terms of performance, durability and price. In that respect, the 2005 Ritchey WCS Logic 1" Threadless, Black L'Eroica Head Set exemplifies that sentiment and does not disapoint. Not to say the newer headsets from Ritchey are of inferior quality, but the early Ritchey WCS Headsets, if you can still find one, were on the same level as some of the more expensive headsets. They are blessed with great bearings, and workmanship, which can't be always found in today's bicycle products. I expect the Ritchey WCS Headset to last a lifetime.

"Great Product from ACE at a reasonable price, if you can find it"
As long as you buy the correct size, for me it was Large/Extra Large (7"-9"), the support wristlet offers great support and reduces swelling form over use and/or tendonitis. Unlike current versions of this product, the New Ace Support Glove also includes a compression glove, which you can wear with or without the wrislet. I experienced no pain whatsoever when I wore both the glove and wristlet. Unfortunately, I'm not too sure the product is still being offered b y ACE, as it doesn't appear in any of their newer catalogues. For the price, around $5.00, you can do a lot worse, and pay twice the amount that I paid. My previous version lasted over 10 years.
