As a low cost very portable AC MIG welder, this hits the mark. Given its price it is well made.
1 of 1 found this helpful The transformer looks solid. The metal frame is fairly thin so its easy for the PK screws holding it together to strip threads if you open it up to have a look. Although its something you shouldn't have to do. The wire transport works well but mostly made of plastic so not sure how long it will last. The unit has 4 amperage settings which is very good for the price paid. Test welding in gaseless mod worked OK but welding would be much better with gas. Which is another bonus considering I have never seen a gas option at this price.
Great to have for the odd handyman job but if you get serious and want really nice looking welds you really need a DC welder, preferably with infinitely variable amperage settings.

Indoor / outdoor temp
Excellent value with a large clear display. The remote sensor registered straight away and uses two AA batteries which should last alot longer than a button cell. Very happy with the unit.
