A great blend of forgiveness and speed at a low price.
I have shot four different Mathews Bows, and this bow is in my opinion is the best bow I shoot. I have owned and shot extensively the LX, DXT, and Legacy Mathews bows and personally have compared the characteristics of each bow. From my analysis, the LX is a great balance of BOTH fast and forgiving. The reason this bow is forgiving is because of the longer axle to axle length.. which is a BENEFIT to a hunter. The draw force on the cam on this bow keeps the force at peak energy for longer than the Legacy bow, thus giving it more speed. The Legacy in comparison is also very forgiving, smoother to draw, but the arrow speed is slower and thus my pins are farther apart noticably at 50 and 60 yards. The wall of my Legacy bow is a bit mushy but the LX has a solid wall and no problems there. The LX does have a bit of hand shock, but nothing that will detract from it overall. The DXT on the other hand is light and compact and has absolutely no hand shock. With the DXT though you have to concentrate much more on your form while shooting, especially with your grip on the bow. The shorter axle to axle length makes this bow harder to shoot consistently and this shows up especially at longer distance shots. The best part about the LX bow is that the price is usually much lower than the other Mathews bows.. but don't let that fool you because it definetly performs.
