Perhaps not for automotive use.
This multimeter is not designed for use in the automotive field...the 1-100 v DC range does not display a decimal point...for example 12.71 vdc will display as 012vdc. refer to photo.. Otherwise this is a quality product. Other multimeters more suitable for the automotive industry are available from the same good supplier.

Easy to use...seems to be accurate enough
1 of 1 found this helpful I have purchased this item to allow me to monitor my caravan wheel assemblies...any issues with wheel bearings, brakes, shocks or suspension will tend to create excess heat...this 'gun' will allow me to ascertain the temperature by aiming the red dot between the wheel spokes when I complete a trip....will apply to the tow vehicle wheel assemblies also.

It is as good as another similar model we have but at half the price.
