The advertisement picture of the socket showed a flat surface face to fit over the flats on the nut of the heating element. This was the reason i purchased it. The socket I received was beveled on the inside edge. The flats on the heating element nut are about an 1/8 of an inch. The bevel on the socket took away a considerable amount of the mating surface making it much more difficult to remove the heating element. I could not remove the element with conventional tools. I had to resort an air operated hammer drill, even then I had to brace my back on a solid surface in order to apply as much pressure possible against the nut. I've made a living with hand tools so I know of which I speak.
